"All out of Steam"

Conductor Bill Laird instructs engineer Kirk Wakefield on the control of the 2 1/2" Railbus, while Connor and Hunter Wakefield ride along. It looks like there was just a little too much fun had on this day.

"The Little Switcher"

Connor keeps busy at one of his first meets trying to figure out what caused his train to split the switch. Connor (2-1/2) is totally engrossed in live steam. It was easy to keep track of him on this meet, he spent the most of two days running his "Blue Train" up and down the yard ladder.

"Bety in the Bush"

5 inch gauge Queensland Railways BB18 1/4 class loco in operation at the MELSA Bribie Island Track late last year.  The loco is now just under 3 years old and was built for me by a friend in just 13 weeks. This photo shows the loco passing in "full flight" and looks very realistic. I call it Bety in the Bush. (Bety being the telegraphic nickname used for the full size trains).

"MELSA Bribie Island Run"

5 inch gauge Queensland Railways BB18 1/4 class loco in operation at the MELSA Bribie Island Track late last year. Photo shows the train fully loaded exiting from the tunnel on the track, returning to the station. These carriages the loco is pulling also belong to me and are modeled on the heritage carriages the full size engine still hauls.
