"Backlit"

Shot by my father, Hilding Nystrom, showing me trying out the
loco on steam for the first time

Fall of 2002, in Hango, Finland, on my private garden track. The loco model's prototype is a Baldwin 4-4-0 (build no. 3003) made in 1872.

Nine of these were bought and used by the private Hango-Hyvinge RR
company in Finland. After a few years of financial troubles, the company was bought by our State RR Co, which used these locos well into the
1910s.

My model is in 1:8 scale, 7 1/4" gauge.

"West Valley Consolidation"

West Valley Consolidation (2-8-0) with flat car and bobber caboose. The photo was taken in our front yard. We don't  have much space, but we have a point to point set up with about only 120 feet  of track. It does include, however, one stub switch activated by a full size  SP switch stand, a water tower and freight shed and a pair of cross bucks.  We have fun, and that's what it's all about!
