The great thing about this locomotive is that it was home built on a small
budget by my 14 year old son and myself.

"Running The Air Train"

Seven year old twins, Naomi and Aliza Gold, and unidentified boy, engineer the "air" train at Colorado Live Steamers, Buyers (Denver), Colorado, August 2002.  1" scale loco  (a converted coal burner) operates on compressed air! The air tanks look like tank cars the children sit on.  The throttle (at the top of the tank) consists of a valve that controls the amount of compressed air sent to the drive valves. The engine will go around the 800' of 4-3/4 inch track about 1 1/2 times before needing a 3 minute refill.  No fire, no heat, no risk of injury.
