DLS Updates - 7.5" electric GP-7 and "X" style roof panels

Koster GP7 1.5" scale, 7.5" gauge locomotive, all steel body held on by 2 nuts, removable in one piece. Four deep cycle batteries in series power a Curtis controller, (24 vdc) and are accessible through roof hatches for easy maintenance. Hand held control consists of master switch, horn button, bell button, reversing switch, light switch and run 1-8 throttle. Each axle is powered by 7500 rpm motors with gear boxes which move this locomotive at 15 mph clocked by radar. Approx. weight is 600 lbs. Also included are extra motors, wheels, axles gearboxes, and brake castings. Trucks are sprung and made out of cast aluminum. Built by Bill Koster about 20 years ago.

Locomotive is located in south Fl. and with patience can be delivered between Miami and western N.C. in April.

NEW RS 7-1/2" Heavy Mikado

Railroad Supply Corporation 7 1/2" Heavy Mikado. This engine is coal fired. It's new and has been ran on air only. It is painted and needs only numbers and road name added. It has a steel tender with leaf spring trucks and rear light. It has an axle water pump, many Superscale parts including 2 Chicago type R injectors, 2 head lights (one on engine and one on tender), whistle, 3 safety valves, Pyle National junction boxes, steps, bell, and 4 Graham -White sanders (not yet on) many valves. LS turbo generator. Moore power reverse, etc. -This engine comes with the builder prints. Located in central Illinois.

CCA Treated Wood for Ties

Railroad ties for your railroad 16" gauge or smaller. I have several hundred CCA landscape timers made of pine and CCA treated I used for my 16 in railroad and they have served me very well over the last few years, they are in good condition show no sings of decay, they are different ages, oldest being 4 years, they do split a little in places but it does not effect there ability to hold the rail, I used lag screws to hold the rail to the ties and this worked great, these ties will last many years, ties are around 31in long 4in wide and 3&1/4 in high, CCA treated through out price is .25 cents each I can hold till spring with payment. Bell with Pneumatic Ringer

This huge bell is 17 inches in diameter at the throat, with a 12-inch diameter, two bolt, flat mounted cradle. . It has a horizontal style pneumatic ringer as well as a crank and rocking yoke. The trunnions are free and well lubricated as is the ringer, which operates nicely on about 100 psi.

Other than the usual casting numbers there are no markings anywhere�.inside or out.

The bell is located in mid-coast Maine (Jefferson) and is available for pick up only. $1500

Comes with trucks and couplers. The overall length of the caboose from coupler to coupler is 41", and 22" tall from railhead. This was recently built from a Fesco toy box caboose kit. The caboose is weatherproof; there is no wood to worry about getting wet. Caboose has a steel frame which gives it enough weight to stay on the track and a plywood floor. This would make a good Christmas present for your favorite engineer. Can be picked up near St. Louis, MO, or would possibly be able to ship at buyer's expense.

The paint is in excellent condition. The windows and most detail has been airbrushed on, looks wonderful. The electric pick up on the top of the roof makes the loco seem very real in deed. The top comes off to get to the electric components if necessary but for 3 years haven't had to touch a thing. This loco has never given me any trouble, very, very dependable. There are three very heavy strong batteries that run this loco. Included is the battery charger and a blinking rear light.

1.5" scale Northern Steel Boiler

10-�" steel boiler built by Western Metal Products. This boiler has never been used. The boiler was built with 39 all copper flues so that the boiler should give plenty of steam for all running conditions. We are selling the boiler because we have decided to make the engine electric. Complete 24" Train & Track

Locomotive is powered by a dodge 318 engine, automatic transmission. 22 feet long. Flat car has treated lumber deck and is 22 feet long. Tank car is 22 feet long. Caboose is 22 feet long. Interior is not completed. There is 1300 feet of laid track with ties and 50 extra pieces. This track is 3 1/2 inch cross bottom and 3 inches tall. I believe it is 40 lb rail. Extras Jacks, spike hammer, bars, spike puller. There is a smaller train which is started but not finished. It has a flat car, tank car, log car, crane car and 6 other chassis. These car are all 7 foot long 3 foot wide. Also, ask about the HO scale layouts.

Just completed 18" gauge speeder / inspection / PRV. Abrams tank-like control box / grips with lighted thumb throttle, forward / reverse, powerful adjustable headlight, horn, master switch, indicator light, 24 volt 1/2 horse electric motor (single axle powered), can achieve a 10 to 12 MPH speed, welded heavy-duty structural steel frame, grip disk brake (rear axle) and comfortable adjustable seat. This unit does not have a parking brake. The size is 48" long X 21 3/4" wide (outside wheels) with a weight approx. 150 LBS.

7-1/2" ga. Wheel Sets (2 sets)

2 sets of RMI (Roll Models Inc.) cast and machined steel 6" wheels keyed onto axles with 5" 18DP gears I made from 4140 steel. The gears have a 1/2" face. The pinions are made from O1 tool steel.

Have you been wanting to build an electric locomotive? Here's your chance. The pinion gears are bored to 5/16", but I can enlarge the bores to 10MM or 3/8" if needed. The gears have 92 teeth, and the pinions have 16 teeth for a 5.75:1 ratio. 7 1/2" gauge; probably best for 2 1/2 scale.

Full Scale 5 Note Air Horn

Full Size Leslie RS5T horn set originally mounted on a diesel locomotive. Obviously used but in very good condition, the paint appears to be original. All diaphragms are good and the horns sound beautiful. These are the loudest I have ever heard. Bought from a railroad employee's estate, they were hanging on the wall of his workshop. Fully sprung and equalized trucks with ball bearings provide an exceptionally smooth ride. Three point suspension to the chassis for superior tracking. Super Duty frame made of heavy wall 1" x 2" square tubing and 1" angle is virtually indestructible. Sides and ends are 1/8" aluminum. Roof ends are solid wood and tough enough to handle the occasional misplaced passenger. Unique pivoting coupler pockets allow these cars to go around very sharp turns and s-curves.

Little Engines Hudson Locomotive #455 4-6-4, Tender, and Service Box Car. Boiler first fired April 2005. Speedometer and Odometer (approx.160 miles on engine). Boiler hydro tested during 2008 certification by the State of Georgia Boiler Inspectors.

Scale � 1.5� per foot (7.5� gauge), diameter of Drivers 10� , boiler dia.10.75� by Alpha Boiler Co. oil fired. Minimum turning radius 45 feet. Engine weight 900 lbs. approx. Features a Keim steam driven water pump with a copper preheater loop in the smoke box and a Keim steam driven air compressor. Also featured is a SuperScale Chicago style injector.
