GENERAL INFORMATION

At the Hesston Steam Museum, history comes alive as real working steam locomotives take you on a journey over a spectacular two and a half mile railroad, through deep woods, past lakes and farm fields.

Or take a ride on a smaller railroad. Our two miniature steam-powered railroads meander over bridges and through an enchanting wooded landscape.

That’s not all, the Hesston Steam Museum is filled with other steam powered machinery including a steam-powered saw mill, 92 Ton railroad steam crane, electric power plant, steam traction engines and much, much more.

We have a gift shop with a wide variety of steam equipment on display. Food is available at the museum but feel free to bring in picnics and enjoy the wooded grounds with your whole family.
