Narrow Gauge Locomotive

Sandy River #1 is a 2" to the foot live steam propane fired model of the first engine to run on the narrow gage Sandy River 2 foot line in the state of Maine. Built over a five-year span by a machinist with 40 years of experience. This one of a kind scratch built model is of first class construction. It features sealed needle bearings on the main drivers running on hardened and ground journals, twin axel pumps and steam operated cylinder cocks. It has a Briggs stay-less boiler (0 to 100 pounds pressure in ten minutes). The tank truck runs on sealed ball bearings with a spherical bearing on the center pin and is fully sprung and equalized, as are the drivers. This along with swing links allows for smother running with sure tracking. Its sports an oil burning headlight and displacement lubrication. The fully detailed cab is of maple and is hand built with mortis and tendon joints with solid wood pegs. The pilot is of cheery wood wrapped in iron as per prototype. The engine is 48 inches long 13 inches in wide and stands 19-1/2 inches to the top of its sunflower stack. It is built to run on 4 3/4 track (1 inch scale track). This one is an eye catcher and a proven runner.
I WILL INCLUDE A RIDING CAR (same scale as loco) WITH THIS LOCOMOTIVE.

It can be seen in southeastern Ma. $15000.  $13,500  Lets talk.
