Narrow Gauge Locomotive
Sandy River #1 is a 2" to the foot live steam propane fired
model of the first engine to run on the narrow gage Sandy River 2 foot line in
the state of Maine. Built over a five-year span by a machinist with 40 years of
experience. This one of a kind scratch built model is of first class
construction. It features sealed needle bearings on the main drivers running on

of cheery wood wrapped in iron as per prototype. The engine is 48 inches long 13
inches in wide and stands 19-1/2 inches to the top of its sunflower stack. It is
built to run on 4 3/4 track (1 inch scale track). This one is an eye catcher and
a proven runner. SOLD
