This engine was custom built for the “Chairman of the Board” of a Cincinnati based Machine Tool Company, to run around his family residence.  The railroad has 8%+grades so it was designed with a very good “fail safe” (if cars became uncoupled, the brakes would come on independently of other units) brake system. It ran approx 3-4 times a year for family picnics & corporate social events. It has been in dry enclosed storage for the last 3 years, w/engine rotated manually once a month for lubrication. I am looking thru my records for the completion date of the engine, but is 10 years old for sure.

Its owner has appointed me to act as her agent to locate a new owner, as I participated in the building and running of the rail road, the engine & the cars.  I am presently involved in cleaning the engine, performing a yearly hydro test and inspecting the equipment.  It is all cosmetic at this stage.  Pictures shown are after a run, not cleaned with a few present day photos also. I do not think she will separate the riding car and or coach from the engine…but?

Price for the Engine, Riding car, and Coach is $18,500

The equipment is located in Cincinnati, Ohio area. I have more digital photos, many more still photos, construction of boiler, etc.  I can answer just about any question about the equipment, since I helped build it.   This is engine is in very good to excellent condition, one hell of a steamer
