Full scale 5 ton H. K.
Porter Compressed Air Locomotive S/N 3087 fore sale. The locomotive was built in
November, 1904 for the Homestake Mining Co. of Lead SD.
6X10 cylinders and 23
inch drivers. This can be converted to steam operation. or remain as a
compressed air locomotive.
The locomotives gauge is
18" but as with most small H.K. Porter locomotives can be converted to 24" to
standard gauge with new axels and frame cross members. The locomotives is in
good overall condition and comes with all parts to operate as an air Locomotive.
The air tank, front and rear buffers have been removed awaiting conversion to
steam. The locomotive is located in Jacksonville Oregon, 30 miles North of the
California- Oregon border on Interstate 5.
