1.6" scale 50' Modern Boxcar
Here
is the new car I'm manufacturing:
1.6'' scale 50 foot long
scale modern boxcar. This car is 85'' long over the couplers. The body is
81.5'' long, 16'' wide and 24 1/2 -25'' tall. It was modeled after the
prototype. It has two opening doors per side with a latch. Car
has prototype metal stamped roof ribs, all steel grab irons, and steel
see-though walk ways on ends. It also has prototype door stops. This
car has over 120 separate parts not including stainless bolts. Cars will
come one of two ways:
As a kit, all parts are
already cut including all tubes. 95% of welds are hidden due to plug
welding. Brake wheels are not included in either option. 90%
of all holes already drilled. You will need a small tap and a welder.
Car comes with instructions. Frame is 1x2 steel tubing with laser cut
frame pieces. Car body floor and roof are 16 gauge steel. Car
weights in at about 190 lbs without trucks and couplers. Kits are
available now for immediate shipping. If you choose the assembled option,
it will take an additional week or so. These cars are really nice. Located in

Pair of 1.6'' scale Alco
trucks. They are laser cut from steel. The dimensions were from
actual blueprints. These will be welded together for you as shown.
They will however need some filing or grinding on the welds and sharp edges to
get a realistic look. Comes with 8 equalizer bars made from 1/4 inch steel.
Side frames are 3/4'' and ends are 1/2''. These will make very nice
trucks. $550.00

15-1/8 inch wide drop center flat car for 7.5 or 7.25 gauge, this is a very
nice car with CSX lettering. Car is powder coated. All grab irons
and steps attached with stainless bolts. This is a great car for loads,
tanks, tractors etc. Car comes with pins for trucks and with couplers
and eye bolts for chains.

Bulkhead Flat Car.
Car is a 1.5'' scale model of a 53-1/2 foot bulkhead flat car. This model is
80 inches long and 15-1/2 inches wide. It's very nice with a
powder coat satin finish in oxide red with union pacific lettering.
All grab irons are also powder coated in white and are attached with stainless
socket head bolts. You've really got to see the detail. It's
ready to go except for the wooden deck and trucks and couplers. Shipping
is $125 in lower 48 states with a pick up at your local truck
terminal. . Crating charges on this or any of the cars I sell are not
included.

and clips and coupler eye bolts for chains. Features four steps and
eight grab irons and stainless attaching bolts (not attached). This is a
great riding car due to the low center of gravity. Built with a 1 x 2
.120" wall frame. All car needs is paint, trucks,
and couplers to complete. See the red and brown car (above)
to see how it might look when finished.

Boxcar Roof Ribs
 
 
These are boxcar roof
ribs, used on almost every known boxcar and reefer built. These also
work on many cabooses. They are CNC produced for accurate repeatability.
Stamped from 22 ga. cold rolled steel, the ribs shown are 14" long with two
rivet holes on each end and raised in the center like the prototype.
