Alan Models Chloe gauged at 7 ½”– Built by the late Mr. Bob
Mannett, who had a gift for creating items of great beauty, and exceptional
quality. Hydro tested in late 2006, purchased in June 2007, last run July
2008. Believed to have been run about 10 to 12 times total. Detail and
workmanship on the engine is magnificent, and the engine runs nicely once
you learn how to properly manage the water in the boiler.
Engine comes with everything you see in the photos +
numerous accessories:

Not shown, but something I will include, is a hand pump kit,
since I believe the engine needs one.
I believe everything so be in complete running condition.
Here are some of the idiosyncrasies of the engine:

Water management takes some practice.

Crosshead pump works but needs regular TLC.

New injector installed that has not been tested yet.

Cylinder oil pump is currently disconnected because I
hated oil in my face.
That’s it. If you can handle these, you should have no
problem handling the engine, and as indicated, I believe the engine and all
accessories to be fully operational. Having said that, as with any equipment
of this type I’m not offering any guarantees or warranties of any kind.
I waited over 12 years to save enough money to buy this, and
then lost by job. I paid over $14,000 for the engine, so I’ll entertain
offers in that range. Inspection available by appointment either at my home
in Salem Oregon or by appointment at the Great Oregon Steam-up in Brooks
Oregon on July 25/26 or August 1/2. Additional information / photos are
