The actual "Invicta" was built by Robert Stephenson in 1829 right after
he built his ground breaking "Rocket".
Brand new never fired steam locomotive with tender, this is a coal fired
locomotive capable of pulling 4-5 adults on level track. Engine is ready to
run with axle pump, pressure gauge, hand pump in tender, two safety valves,
cylinder cocks, two blowdown valves, water glass and mechanical lubricator and
whistle. Engine weighs in at 110 lbs dry, tender is about 15 lbs dry. The
valve gear on the engine is slip eccentric for easy operation. The boiler is
5" steel with 20 flues hydro tested to 300 psi, steel fire grate. All
construction is steel, brass, bronze and cast iron on cylinders and wheels.
Tenders are made of steel frames, cast iron wheels and aluminum bodies. Total
length of engine and tender is about 32 inches. Engine and tender built by
professional machinist with over 20 engines to his name, they are good
steamers and very moveable in the trunk of a small car. $8500
