Union Pacific's "Big Boy" Locomotive
Project consisting of castings and parts from Roger Goldman,
some machine work done, drivers with the exception of one have
4110 Steel tires shrunk on and are partially machined. Axles are
machined, ground and keyed by Roger Goldman, axle boxes
partially machined, bearings and seals included. Pilot truck is
complete up to but not including the load transfer unit.
Trailing truck frame with axle boxes, axles and wheels from
Roger Goldman, wheels finish machined and assembled on axles.
Smoke stack and two Petticoat’s. A complete set of springs for
the engines and trailing truck. All 4 Cylinder blocks with
cylinder covers and the piston rings. Also included are
water-jetted frames for the front and rear engines and
water-jetted blanks ready for machining into the rods and valve
gear. I also am including all the drawings, both Paper and
Electronic that I have. If you are in the market to build your
own Big Boy or Challenger, this is a great starting point.
