Harpur Locomotive Works of Wilmington,Ca. Built for Elliott
Donnelley. Elliott Donnelley was the man who started Donnelley
Printing Company in Chicago.
Mr. Donnelley had a large
estate where he ran live steam engines of all size. Mr.
Donnelley came across the original 575 that ran out of Chicago
and then at the time instructed Harpur Locomotive Works of
Wilmington, CA to build him an exact replica for which I have
the original photos of.
Engine is coal fired. Has
Stevenson Values. Engine was last fired and ran excellent in
2016. It's full of extras. The boiler is RARE! This is not a
standard steel boiler, but in fact a copper boiler and silver
soldered. It's truly one of a kind. Make no mistakes.
