Russian Decapod
Juhani Saloranta of Helsinki, Finland has built a fantastically detailed Baldwin
"Russian Decapod". Juhani spent over 14.000 hours on this model, which took him
15 years to build. 20 engines of this type (10 built by Baldwin, 10 by ALCO)
were used in Finland after WWII, running until the end of the steam era. More
info about these engines can be found on my home page: saunalahti.fi/animato/3003

SF FA-1 Warbonnet

Quickie
"Quickie" is a plywood box on wheels, built in 48 workshop hours, but the kids
sure don't mind any lack of detailing or adhering to prototype. Maria, 2, is the
youngest engineer that has run on my track in Hango, Finland. You can see how
she enjoys being in control! Moments like these warm the heart of any owner of a
loco.
